Parker Collins started playing baseball at a very young age. Even then he knew this was the sport for him.
“I have played baseball since I was six years old,” said Collins. Now a junior in high school, Collins loves to represent Collinsville High School in competition.
“I love the atmosphere of Collinsville High School athletics,” said Collins. “I love the friendships I have with all my teammates.”
This offseason, Collins has worked to improve his game and become one of the go-to players for the Cardinals. “I think I have improved most on my confidence this season. The baseball team has a bunch of great athletes and a lot of potential for this season,” said Collins.
Away from baseball, Collins said he enjoys math class, and his favorite teacher is Mrs. Houts. Collins would like to continue playing baseball in college and said he enjoys hunting, fishing, and hanging out with friends. As for his thoughts on who is the best player in Major League Baseball? “Shohei Ohtani is the best MLB player,” Collins said.
